My Story

A Navy kid, I have lived all over the world. Born in Greeley, CO, I have also lived in St. Louis, MO; Port Hueneme, CA; Haverfordwest, Wales, G.B.; Great Lakes, IL; Yokosuka, Japan; Brunswick, ME; Norton, MA; Wollongong, Australia; Waterford, CT; Williamsburg, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Alexandria, VA; Lafayette and West Lafayette, IN; Milwaukee, WI; Spring Green, WI; Tucson and Phoenix, AZ; Cincinnati, OH; Santa Cruz, CA; Bloomington, IN and San Francisco, CA.

In short, I love to travel and there is still a lot more of the world I have yet to see. I have a B.A in Theater and Dramatic Literature from Wheaton College in Norton, MA and a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from Purdue University, with a focus in Meisner Technique. I also spent a semester studying at the Eugene O’Neill National Theater Institute in Waterford, CT, spending two of those weeks in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In addition to traveling, I’m a big animal advocate, a proud vegetarian, scuba diver, runner, good listener, wino, hiker, Vitamin D lover, swimmer, go-getter and all around happy person!!

My heart is in theater but I’m excited to start exploring other mediums as well. I have also started to put my teaching experience and training from Purdue to use by teaching workshops at local schools. I hope that while pursuing my love of acting and theater, teaching may also continue to find it’s way into my life.

I’m excited to continue to learn and grow as an artist and a human being; continuing to meet new people, tackle new challenges, set new goals, and embark on new journeys; be it in Milwaukee, Chicago, NYC, DC, LA, San Francisco, or anywhere in between.

Greta Wohlrabe’s performance is captivating. She never lands anywhere long enough of us to get a good reading on who Vanda really is. She is ferocious and manipulative in one moment, brilliant and wise the next. Then scattered. Or incisive. Whatever she chooses, she is like the character in the book — absolutely in charge.

With her wide-eyed, brashness, Wohlrabe is clearly a gifted comic actor and every moment she’s onstage, she elevates the comic quotient.
— Wallace Baine, Santa Cruz Sentinel
Greta Wohlrabe is a stunning performer who lit up the stage from the moment she walked in and never stopped. Her ability to play a wildly bawdy ditzy blonde and in a microsecond transform into a sexy seductress was mesmerizing.
